Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any steps his Department is taking in response to the publication of the Katie Simpson Review.

Answer:

Safeguarding remains a key priority and my Department has in place safeguarding guidance for its Arm’s Length Bodies which provides advice and assistance in ensuring that robust systems and procedures are in place to safeguard the welfare of children and adults at risk.

As this is also an operational matter for my Department’s ALBs, I have sought the requested information and they have provided me with responses. Due to the volume of information provided, I have arranged for the detail to be placed in the Assembly Library.
