To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether her Department monitors the (i) total number; and (ii) geographical spread of speed indicator devices, across Northern Ireland.

Answer:

Speed Indicator Devices fall under the remit of the Policing and Community Safety Partnerships (PCSP) I would advise the member to discuss specific locations directly with the PCSP.

My Department works in partnership with the above-mentioned bodies to ensure their safe and managed placement through developed policy Speed Indicator Devices DEM 191/23 (infrastructure-ni.gov.uk).
