To ask the Minister for Communities, pursuant to commitments made in the Department of Finance Memorandum on the Twelfth Report from the Public Accounts Committee Mandate 2022-2027: Homelessness in Northern Ireland, to detail which of the current powers available to the Housing Executive to support homelessness prevention will be considered in this process.

Answer:

The current powers available to the Housing Executive are set out in the Housing (NI) Order 1988, Part II. The detailed scope of the legislative review will be determined as work progresses, informed by research and stakeholder engagement.
