Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the amount of funding provided to support Irish dancing, in the last five years.
Answer:
This issue is an operational matter for the Arts Council, they have advised me as follows: Financial Year | Total Amount | 2021-2022 | £10,000.00 | 2022-2023 | - | 2022-2023 | - | 2024-2025 | £856.50 | 2025-2026 | £573.00 | Grand Total | £11,429.50 |
The figures relate specifically to Irish dance related projects. The Arts Council also funds organisations which would also deliver Irish dance opportunities within their wider programmes of activity.’
