Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities for an update on the development of his Department's Gender Equality Strategy.

Answer:

I met with representatives from the Women’s sector recently to discuss a range of issues, including development of the Gender Equality Strategy.

While my Department is leading on the development of the Gender Equality Strategy, final decisions on its content, publication and implementation will be subject to Executive agreement and public consultation.

I am currently considering next steps for the further development of the Gender Equality Strategy.
