To ask the Minister of Health whether he will give any consideration to the creation of a travel fund for children with cancer.

Answer:

My Department has considered the possibility of establishing a travel fund for children and young people with cancer. However, given the significant pressures on the Department’s budget and under the proposed allocation within the draft Budget produced by the Department of Finance, it has not been possible to consider any additional financial support other than that which is currently available.
