Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail any plans his Department has to support environmental sustainability through circular economy practices in the health sector.

Answer:

There is ongoing work, led by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), to improve the sustainability of medical technology. Design for Life is a 20-year programme, supported by the four health administrations in the UK to embed a circular approach to the manufacture and use of medical products. My department will continue to support and engage with this programme.
