Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, in light of the discovery of Mobuoy illegal dump subsequent to the determination of the preferred route of the A6, whether her Department plans to re-evaluate alternative routes for this section of road between Drumahoe and Maydown.

Answer:

I formally approved the Department’s response to the recent public consultation on the Draft Remediation Strategy which closed on 2 October 2025 following continued collaborative working between my officials and their DAERA counterparts.

We must now await finalisation of the DAERA strategy and the associated timeline for its implementation. Once this is confirmed, my officials can determine the most efficient delivery mechanism for the progression of the scheme.
