Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on (i) the action contained within his TransformED Delivery plan to deliver high-quality curriculum advice and resources to support teachers in the classroom; and (ii) any cost incurred as a result of this action.

Answer:

(i) The Department launched consultation on the proposed new statutory Northern Ireland Curriculum 2028 on 16 June, this will run until 30 September 2026. As indicated in the consultation overview document the next phase, preparation and capacity building (September 2026–June 2028), will focus on developing and sharing curriculum resources, alongside providing professional development for teachers.

(ii) Costs for this phase are yet to be determined.
