Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the length of time development proposal 735 to transform Downshire Primary School to Controlled Integrated status has been waiting for a decision.

Answer:

The statutory objection period on Development Proposal (DP) 735, in respect of the proposed transformation of Downshire Primary School (PS) to Controlled Integrated status, closed on 11 November 2024.

The Department was awaiting the outcome of a Court of Appeal case prior to progressing a number of DPs. The Court of Appeal decision was received on 9 June 2026. I therefore hope to come to a decision on this DP in the near future.
