Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on (i) the action contained within his TransformED Delivery plan to review, strengthen and invest in professional learning for middle leaders and co-ordinators; and (ii) any cost incurred as a result of this action.

Answer:

My Department has undertaken a review of existing provision, best practice elsewhere and related educational research on professional learning support for middle leaders. Drawn from this review, options have been identified for a broad leadership programme which will be implemented from September 2026, working with a range of external partners.

To date, no costs have been incurred.
