To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 40637/22-27, whether he has any plans to introduce a Bill of Amendment to the Health and Social Care (Control of Data Processing) Act (Northern Ireland) 2016, given it was due to be introduced by April 2026.

Answer:

Work to progress the proposed Health and Social Care (Data Processing Amendment) Bill is ongoing. The timing of introduction remains subject to the Assembly’s legislative timetable and Executive processes.

Subject to these dependencies, the Bill is expected to be introduced later in the current Assembly mandate.
