Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail when the budget for local Section Offices will be confirmed for the 2026-27 financial year, to allow capital projects to be planned for the reminder of the year.

Answer:

I have not taken any final budget decisions, as these will be subject to equality impact considerations and a final budget outcome for my Department. However, to aid forward planning, I have provided indicative capital allocations, subject to final budget agreement.

Officials are currently considering programmes for the 2026/27 financial year and these will be finalised once budgets are confirmed and will be included in my Department’s Annual Reports to each respective Council that will be published in due course.
