Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any assessment that has been made of the risk that defective concrete blocks, manufactured in the Republic of Ireland, may have been used in the construction of properties in Northern Ireland.

Answer:
As advised in AQW 49249/22-27 my Department is aware of 8 properties affected by Defective Block.
The Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government are responsible for construction products and their legislation, as a reserved matter. They have advised that they have not undertaken any assessment in relation to Defective Block in Northern Ireland.
