To ask the Minister of Health whether (i) his Department; and (ii) the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, have assisted families locate the remains of their loved ones who were part of the Northern Ireland organ retention case.

Answer:

The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust has assisted families in locating tissues retained from post mortems of their loved ones who were part of the Northern Ireland organ retention cases. My Department does not have a direct role in assisting families.
