Question:
To ask the Minister of Health whether his Department will fund the business case required to remove the building at the old Angles Day Centre in Newtownabbey.

Answer:
The former ‘New Way’ building (formerly Hill Croft School) forms part of a larger circa 21-acre Department-owned site which is currently in the disposal process. The site is managed by the Northern HSC Trust. The Department is aware of significant and ongoing antisocial behaviour at this site. The Trust has sought updated costings for the proposed demolition of the vacant building before it seeks the necessary funding/approvals for same. At this stage, no business case has been received by the Department in relation to the proposed demolition. The Department will consider the business case when received.
