Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail any plans she has to review the current three-year restriction for Ukrainian driving licence holders, to align Northern Ireland with Great Britain.

Answer:

I am aware that, on 29 June 2026, the British Department for Transport announced the outcome of their recent consultation on this matter and their intention to extend the eligibility period for Ukrainian driving licences in Britain by a further 24 months. My officials will consider this announcement and provide me with further advice regarding the way forward here in due course.
