Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities, pursuant to AQW 16916/22-27, for an update on his Department's work to increase protections for those living in park homes before the end of the 2022-2027 Assembly mandate.

Answer:

I can confirm that my Department proposes to amend Part 1 of the Schedule to the Caravans Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 to provide that residential pitch fee increases and decreases are linked to the Consumer Price Index rather than the Retail Price Index.

However, this amendment requires a suitable legislative vehicle which will not be available before the end of this mandate.
