Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the number of children who (i) applied for a place in a special school summer scheme in 2026; (ii) were offered a place; and (iii) were unsuccessful in securing a place, broken down by special school.

Answer:

The Education Authority (EA) has advised that it does not hold this information, as the requested information is held by each school where a scheme is running. All schools are expected to provide an evaluation to the EA by the end of August, and further information can be made available at that stage.
