Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether he will put in place a grant scheme, similar to England's Places of Worship Renewal Fund, to support the repair of historic places of worship in Northern Ireland.

Answer:

Decisions regarding financial support for historic places of worship this year are dependent on confirmation and assessment of an Executive agreed Departmental budget. My department’s Historic Environment Division (HED) is developing a business case to consider how the historic environment, including historic places of worship, can be supported, following public consultation on a new Historic Environment Policy.
