To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail any action her Department is taking in relation to the removal of proscribed flags in Holywood and the wider North Down area.

Answer:

The proliferation of illegally erected flags, often used to intimidate and mark out territory, is totally unacceptable. My Department will continue to engage with the PSNI to identify the most effective ways to tackle this problem.
