Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 47655/22-27, to detail the funding per registered student in (i) Further Education Colleges; and (ii) Higher Education Organisations.

Answer:

A number of evidenced based programmes, including the Diabetes Prevention Programme, are currently being delivered. The overall aim of the programme is to reduce the incidence of Type 2 diabetes by identifying individuals at high risk and offering referral to an evidence-based behaviour change programme.

This regional programme had been previously commissioned and implemented by the Public Health Agency across all five Health and Social Care Trusts, although in the absence of recurrent funding, this programme continues to be delivered albeit at a reduced volume.
