To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any measures being put in place to ensure public leisure facilities can operate safely and at sufficient capacity during periods of extreme heat.

Answer:

Responsibility for the safe operation and management of public leisure facilities, including decisions on capacity and operational arrangements during periods of extreme heat, rests with the relevant local council and facility operator.

Neither I nor my Department has a role in these operational matters.
