Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the number of unauthorised flags on property owned by her Department in North Down that have been removed, for each of the last three years.

Answer:

The proliferation of illegally erected flags, often used to intimidate and mark out territory, is totally unacceptable and the Department will continue to engage with the PSNI and others to identify the most effective ways to tackle this problem, while ensuring the protection of its staff.

I am committed to working with Executive colleagues to identify a sustainable and long-term approach to the issue of illegally erected flags and emblems in public spaces.
