Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether his Department plans to review the Supporting pupils with Medication Needs guidance, before the end of the 2022-2027 Assembly mandate.

Answer:

Departmental officials will review the “Supporting pupils with Medication Needs” guidance as soon as possible, subject to resources being available.

Separately, officials have undertaken a review of the guidance on allergy management in schools, taking account of developments occurring elsewhere in the UK. The department is currently considering how best to strengthen guidance for allergy management in schools.
