To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any remaining legislation he intends to bring to the Assembly before the end of the 2022-2027 Assembly Mandate in March 2027.
Answer:
I intend to bring forward the following Bills before the end of the 2022-27 Assembly mandate: the Housing (Miscellaneous) Bill; the Pension Schemes (Parity) Bill; and the Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Debt) (Parity) Bill. I intend to bring the following Statutory Rules by March 2027: The Social Security (Income and Capital Disregards) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2026; The Discretionary Support (Amendment) (Fuel as a Grant) Regulations 2026; The Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment, Jobseekers’ Allowance and Employment and Support Allowance (Claims and Payments) (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2026; The Local Government (Cremation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2026; The Landlord Registration Scheme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2026; The Private Tenancies (Notice to Quit) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2026; The Domestic Energy Efficiency Grants Regulations (Warm Healthy Homes Fund) (NI) 2026; Housing Benefit and Universal Credit Housing Costs (Executive Determinations) (Modification) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2027; The Charities (Registration Threshold) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2025; The Housing Renewal Grants (Reduction of Grant) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2026; The Local Government Staff Commission (Dissolution) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026; The Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations (Northern Ireland) (Member Benefits Amendments) 2026; The Sign Language (Prescribed Organisations) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2027; The Child Support (Collection, Enforcement and Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2026; and The Child Maintenance (2008 Act) (Commencement No.16 and Transitional and Savings Provisions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026. Further subordinate legislation may be required before the end of the Assembly mandate.
