Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities for an update on any progress made towards delivery of the Ballycastle Public Realm Scheme.

Answer:

Progress towards the delivery of the Ballycastle Public Realm Scheme slowed in October 2024 and subsequently paused following safety concerns relating to the Antrim Arms Hotel, a key building within the project area. Whilst the hotel was demolished on 8 July 2026 and the future use of the site remains uncertain, my officials will continue to work with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council to explore potential regeneration projects that can deliver real benefits for the town.
