Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to detail the date on which they will publish regulations arising from the Inquiry (Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses) and Redress Scheme Bill.

Answer:

An 8-week public consultation on the Inquiry Rules and Redress Regulations opened on 23 September 2026 and will run until 17 November 2026.

Once the consultation responses have been analysed, the legislation will be taken forward through the required Committee and Assembly processes for consideration and approval.
