Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail (i) the current process for the movement of seed potatoes from professional operators in Great Britain to consumers in Northern Ireland; and (ii) how this differs from the process in place prior to January 2021.

Answer:

Following the coming into force on 12 April 2024 of the Windsor Framework (Implementation) Regulations 2024, the movement of seed potatoes is a matter which is now subject to the direction and control of the Secretary of State.
