Provision of Health Services to Persons Not Ordinarily Resident (Amendment) (Revocation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020

The Chairperson (Mr Gildernew): I refer members to the pack and to the tabled papers, which include a letter from the Minister and a copy of the statutory rule that was laid on Monday. This is to revoke SR 2019/42, against which we had passed a prayer of annulment. As per last week's meeting, I updated the Business Committee that the Committee's motion was not required in the event of the Department taking steps to revoke the regulation. There is therefore no need for us to respond to the SL1. Are members content to note that?

Members indicated assent.

The Chairperson (Mr Gildernew): We need to take a view on the revocation regulations. Do members have any issues they wish to raise on those regulations? No? OK. If members do not have any issues that they want to raise in relation to the revocation regulations, I will formally put the Question.

Are members content that the Committee for Health has considered SR 2020/19, the Provision of Health Services to Persons Not Ordinarily Resident (Amendment) (Revocation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020, and, subject to the Examiner of Statutory Rules' report, has no objection to the rule?

Question put and agreed to.

The Chairperson (Mr Gildernew): Are members content to acknowledge the Minister's letter and thank him for taking steps to address our concerns?

Members indicated assent.
