15 -23 March 2023: I, along with six other MLAs, visited Washington DC and Alabama to participate in the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) exchange programme to build relationships and share knowledge between political, business and civic society leaders in the USA. The ACYPL contributed approximately £3,557 towards transport, accommodation, hospitality, flights and activity costs (with the remainder of the total costs of approximately £4,887 being met by the Northern Ireland Assembly). 16 -17 September 2023: I attended the “Grey2k Global Conference" in Edinburgh as a guest speaker to discuss animal welfare policy in relation to greyhound racing in Northern Ireland. The costs of return flights (costing £37.55) and two nights’ accommodation (costing £460.27) were met by Grey2kUSA, a greyhound welfare advocacy organisation who funded the conference.
