The Chairperson (Ms Bradshaw): I remind members that the Committee noted receipt of the SL1 and the proposed statutory rule at our meeting on Wednesday 10 June 2026, at which point a call for views was published on the Assembly's website. The Committee agreed that it did not require any written or oral evidence from the Assembly Commission, the Audit Committee or the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman on the proposed statutory rule. The Committee's call for evidence closed on 23 June. No responses were received, and no issues were identified with the drafting or policy intent of the proposed statutory rule.

As members do not have any questions, I will ask the Senior Assistant Clerk — is that you, Aoife? — to come forward. I was wondering what everybody's job title was. [Laughter.]

The Senior Assistant Assembly Clerk: I do not have much to add to what you said. There were no responses to the call for views, and we did not identify anything in the SL1 or the draft statutory rule that was a cause for concern.

The Chairperson (Ms Bradshaw): That is comforting. Thank you.

Does anyone have any questions for Aoife? No? OK. Thank you very much for your work on that, Aoife.

OK. If members are satisfied that we have all the information to make our decision, there are three options for the Committee: it can decide that it is content or is not content for the Assembly Commission to proceed to make the rule, or it can decide that it is content to let the Assembly Commission proceed to make the rule subject to any issues being addressed. I do not think that there are any issues.
