Cyber Security and Resilience (Network and Information Systems) Bill: Addendum Report
The Chairperson (Mr O'Toole): Hansard staff are not present but will produce a transcript retrospectively, if members are content.
Members indicated assent.
The Chairperson (Mr O'Toole): The Committee pack includes a draft addendum to the Committee's report on the Cyber Security and Resilience (Network and Information Systems) Bill legislative consent memorandum(LCM). The report was drafted on the basis of the briefing to the Committee on 23 September, but a response subsequently received from the Department to a related matter necessitated a revised draft. Therefore, members will see that the Department has confirmed that the proposed new directive on digitalisation and common specifications does not impact on the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill LCM. Taking that into account, members, if there are no suggested amendments to the draft addendum, I will proceed through the draft addendum report.
The Chairperson (Mr O'Toole): First, we have the title page, the contents page, the remit and the section titled "Powers and membership". Are members content that the aforementioned sections form part of the report?
The Chairperson (Mr O'Toole): Are members content that the "Further Committee consideration" and "Conclusion" sections form part of the report?
The Chairperson (Mr O'Toole): I refer members to the "Appendices" section covering appendices 1 and 2. Are members content that the appendices stand part of the report?
The Chairperson (Mr O'Toole): Are members content that the 'Addendum Report on the Legislative Consent Memorandum on the Cyber Security and Resilience (Network and Information Systems) Bill' be published?
The Chairperson (Mr O'Toole): The LCM is scheduled for debate on19 October, which is next Monday.
