Motion TitleAmbulance Provision

Motion TextThat this Assembly recognises that many patients, especially those in rural areas, are facing long waiting times for the arrival of an ambulance; expresses its sympathy to the families of those who have died while waiting for an ambulance or to be admitted to hospital; further recognises that these long waits can have negative effects on patient outcomes; calls on the Minister of Health to review the problems posed by ambulances gathered outside Emergency Departments due to waiting times; and further calls on the Minister of Health to consider the implementation of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service Clinical Response Model to improve equity of access to ambulance provision.
