Motion Amendment TextLeave out all after ‘hydraulic fracturing’ and insert: ‘and the operation of petroleum and oil refineries; notes with deep concern the granting of planning permission for an oil refinery at Cloghan Point, Whitehead; calls on the Minister for Infrastructure to intervene and assess the planning application in light of the environmental problems a refinery would create; and further calls on the Minister for the Economy, as an important first step in moving away from fossil fuel dependency, to introduce a ban on petroleum licensing, drilling, and extraction.’
