Moy Park: Industrial Derating
That this Assembly notes recent reports that Moy Park has become the first company in Northern Ireland to reach £2 billion in sales; further notes that the company cut its workforce by 6.7% in 2023; regrets that Northern Ireland is the only place on these islands where businesses, such as Moy Park, benefit from rates relief in the form of industrial derating; and calls on the Minister of Finance to phase out industrial derating and work to ensure Moy Park are paying adequate rates and taxes on their profits.
