| 30/01/2025 | Leave out all after ‘restoration of the Assembly,’ and insert:
‘many of the immense challenges facing our health service have continued, with extensive waiting times, an escalating mental health crisis, and delays in the delivery of staff pay awards following a decision of the Executive and Assembly to support a below need 2024/25 health budget; acknowledges that these pressures are not solely due to a lack of funding, but have been greatly exacerbated by it; notes that, despite the rhetoric, the delivery of health and social care services is being constantly transformed, but accepts that repeated periods of political and budgetary instability have undoubtedly slowed the rate of progress; further notes that patients and staff don’t need any more plans; and calls on the Minister of Health to work with Executive colleagues to firmly focus on the delivery of the existing slate of strategies, including the already published Health and Social Care NI-Three Year Plan that sets out his priorities for the remainder of this Assembly mandate.’ |
| 30/01/2025 | Leave out all after ‘successive Ministers of Health and Executives to’ and insert:
‘pay health and social care workers fairly, in recognition of the true value of their work; expresses alarm at the growth of privatisation of the health and social care sector; and calls on the Minister of Health to work with Executive colleagues to introduce a fully costed and time-bound health service rescue plan, to include a clear pathway to end the privatisation of both treatment and workforce, to be presented to the Assembly no later than September 2025.' |
