Motion TitleHolding the Irish Government to Account on Legacy - Amendment 2

Motion Amendment TextLeave out all after ‘sustained engagement with’ and insert: ‘victims, survivors and their advocates and focused on delivering a reconciled and shared future; believes that Troubles-era inquests, halted by the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Act 2023, should be recommenced; calls on the UK and Irish governments to adopt positions of full disclosure in legacy investigations, including the removal of any national security vetoes; and further calls on the UK and Irish governments to amend the Memorandum of Understanding relating to the Omagh Bombing Inquiry to reflect this position.’
