Replacing Irish Language Street Signage Policy in Belfast - Amendment 1

Replacing Irish Language Street Signage Policy in Belfast - Amendment 1
Leave out all after ‘That this Assembly’ and insert: ‘acknowledges media reports regarding the approval of Irish language street signs by Belfast City Council; recognises that a non-response from residents does not represent opposition to proposals for the addition of Irish language street signs; notes that the Dual Language Street Signs Policy operating in Belfast City Council adheres to the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages; and believes the current policy can help create, safe, welcoming spaces for residents from all backgrounds and traditions.’
