To ask the Minister of Health whether (i) once a complaint has been referred to the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman (NIPSO) , Health and Social Care Trusts (HSCT) are expected to continue to progress and respond to new or ongoing complaints relating to the same patient or service, particularly where those complaints concern events or risks arising after the date of the NIPSO referral; and (ii) HSCTs are permitted to pause or close internal complaints processes solely on the basis that a previous complaint has been referred to NIPSO.
