Parental Bereavement (Leave and Pay) Bill: Clause-by-clause Consideration

The Chairperson (Dr Archibald): We will turn to the formal clause-by-clause consideration of the Parental Bereavement (Leave and Pay) Bill. We will proceed through the clauses and put the Questions on them formally. I advise members that, where there are amendments, I will put the Question on the amendment first. If there is not consensus on the Question, I will ask members to vote through a show of hands and the Clerk will confirm the result of each vote.

Clause 1 (Parental bereavement leave)

The Chairperson (Dr Archibald): An amendment to clause 1, on application in relation to miscarriage, has been proposed.

Clause 2 (Parental bereavement pay)

The Chairperson (Dr Archibald): An amendment to clause 2, on the removal of the 26-week eligibility criteria for parental bereavement pay, has been drafted.
