‘notes that a minority of post-primary schools continue to use academic selection as part of the transfer process despite calls for an end of its use by the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, the Equality Commission, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Children’s Commissioner; calls on those interested in excellent education for all, social justice and equality to redouble their efforts to bring about an end to academic selection as part of the transfer process; and further calls on the Minister of Education to convene talks with all the major stakeholders in order to assist those minority of schools to move to a transfer system without academic selection.’
