‘regrets the failure of some to accept the democratic outcome of the United Kingdom referendum; welcomes the Prime Minister's pledge that the United Kingdom will leave the European Union as one nation, with no opt outs; and in recognition of this reality urges all parties to join in making the United Kingdom leaving the European Union a success.’

‘further notes the decision of 10 October 2016 by the Assembly to support continued participation in the European Single Market; recognises the importance of European Union membership to our local economy, society and peace building; endorses the local 56 per cent vote to remain as a democratic mandate for remaining in the European Union; and calls on the British and Irish Governments to negotiate with the European Union for this mandate to be respected.’

‘; and further calls on the Executive to work with key stakeholders to develop a workable model for this concept, building upon the vote of the Assembly on 10 October 2016 which recognised the importance of continued participation in the European Single Market, and to engage with the UK Government, the Irish Government, the institutions of the European Union and other relevant organisations on the adoption of such a model.’
