‘expresses deep concern that the UK Government and European Commission have failed to deliver meaningful and permanent solutions to ongoing disruption to trade between Great Britain and Northern Ireland; notes that local businesses cannot trade freely within the legal framework agreed as a result of the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland; believes the European Union’s willingness to erect a hard border for vaccines between the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland demonstrates that access to the European Union single market for 450 million consumers cannot be guaranteed; and calls on the Executive to develop an overarching economic vision for our representative agencies at home and abroad which reflects the overriding value for job creation and prosperity across Northern Ireland of unfettered membership of the United Kingdom internal market.’ |
