‘sends best wishes to all those attacked, injured, distressed, as well as those who have suffered loss or damage as a result; further notes the hypocrisy behind blanket attempts to call for law and order from a political leadership who have courted, funded, and legitimised the role of loyalist paramilitary groups involved in the trouble, who rammed through last minute regulations to disproportionately target Black Lives Matter protesters via the PSNI, and who flouted regulations wilfully yet shirked retribution themselves; expresses dismay at the vacuous and hollow words of condemnation from politicians who increased tensions leading to recent violence; acknowledges that the abject failure to tackle poverty, deprivation and the many long-term economic concerns of working class communities has fostered an environment where sectarian division continues to thrive; and calls for an immediate and complete end to all violence, the rejection of all attempts to stoke division or increase sectarian tensions, and the urgent prioritisation of unity within working class communities on the basis of commonalities and collective need facing into an uncertain future.
