Establishment of an Air Ambulance Service

Establishment of an Air Ambulance Service
That this Assembly recognises the life saving benefits of establishing an air ambulance service for Northern Ireland; understands that such a service has the potential to treat up to 2500 trauma patients per year including a substantial number of major trauma cases; notes the potential of utilising an air ambulance service for treating patients suffering from stroke and cardiac arrest; and calls on the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety to pursue the establishment of such a service without delay.
