All-Party Group on Fuel Poverty

Purpose: To maintain awareness in the Assembly of fuel poverty issues in Northern Ireland including; to further under-stand on the levels of fuel poverty across NI and the factors causing fuel poverty; to monitor and comment on progress towards creation of a Fuel Poverty Strategy and intervention measures geared towards the eradication of fuel poverty; and to advocate policies and strategies that deliver affordable warmth for low income and vulnerable households, with emphassis on improved domestic energy efficiency and efficient heating systems as part of a 'just transition' towards Net Zero.
