To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail (i)the number of occasions during the reduced-staffing period at NI Water pumping stations between 2020 - 2022, due to Covid-19 that any Emergency Relief Overflows (EROs) were triggered automatically, resulting in untreated wastewater entering waterways; (ii) how the volume of those ERO discharges compares with the company’s modelled annual spill figure of 16-20 million m³ of untreated or partially treated wastewater; and (iii) whether these ERO events were included in the assessment of nutrient inputs contributing to the Lough Neagh algae bloom.
