To ask the Minister of Finance and Personnel what discussions he has had with his counterpart in the Republic of Ireland in relation to the negotiations between the Irish Bank Officials Association, the Allied Irish Bank and the First Trust Bank regarding the settlement for bank officials who face the prospect of redundancy, following the announcement by the Chief Executive of AIB to cut 2,500 jobs in the AIB/First Trust Group in order to deliver a fair and reasonable outcome for all stakeholders, including customers and staff.
