To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, in relation to reports that two pigs found at Carrickatuke Viewpoint in County Armagh were euthanised by his Department's officials, to detail (i) when his Department first became aware of the animals; (ii) any reason they were not collected or removed sooner, given reports they had been present for several days following their euthanasia; (iii) any veterinary or welfare assessment that was undertaken to determine that euthanasia was necessary; (iv) whether any animal welfare organisations or rescue groups were contacted to assist with lifting, treatment or rehoming of the animals prior to euthanasia; (v) any protocols that are in place for dealing with abandoned livestock, including whether these will be reviewed following this incident.
